The Virgin Islands National Guard says residents near Estate Glen, Estate Slob and Coble may notice increased noise and activity during scheduled training exercises through Friday, September 18.
The ceremonial training includes blank ammunition, so people nearby may hear repeated sounds resembling gunshots. The Guard says those scheduled sounds do not indicate an active threat or emergency.
The advisory should not be used to dismiss suspicious activity or a real emergency. Anyone who sees an immediate threat, injury or other emergency should call 911 and follow instructions from public-safety personnel.
The notice does not provide daily training hours or a more precise boundary. Residents with noise-sensitive family members, animals or businesses should plan for intermittent activity and monitor official updates through Friday.
The National Guard should publish daily hours, a simple location map and a dated completion notice so nearby residents know when the advisory has ended.
