Cane Garden Bay sewerage works scheduled to start October 19

Civil works on the Cane Garden Bay sewerage network are scheduled to begin Monday, October 19, the BVI government says. The main corridor runs from the vicinity of Hodge's Gas Station toward De Wedding.

The project includes new gravity sewers and seven pump or lift stations, replacing a deteriorating network of 35 lift stations. Work is planned in segments, beginning on the main thoroughfare and moving to secondary roads.

Residents and visitors should expect trenching, construction noise and temporary access changes. The ministry says traffic arrangements and property-specific notices will be provided, with services transferred in stages as new sections are tested and commissioned.
