The BVI government has put updated Crown-land application forms into use for residential grants, commercial land leases, reclamation projects, jetties and breakwaters.
The Lands Unit says the revised forms identify the information and supporting documents needed for each request, with the goal of reducing incomplete submissions and processing delays.
Submitting a form does not guarantee approval. Crown land may be sold for residential purposes or leased for commercial use, and each request remains subject to the applicable review and decision process.
The official announcement does not state a transition deadline for older forms or publish expected processing times for completed applications.
The Lands Unit should publish the forms in one clearly indexed location with fees, review stages, target processing times and a notice explaining whether older submissions must be resubmitted.
