WAPA's St. Thomas customer office will move to Four Winds Plaza

The new customer-service location is scheduled to open September 28 with bus access, parking and ADA-compliant facilities; WAPA says service will continue during the transition.

WAPA will relocate its St. Thomas customer-service and business office to Four Winds Plaza on September 28. The new office will occupy the former Bravo Supermarket space next to Laundry King.

The authority says the site offers access along a public bus route, more parking, expanded seating, private areas for one-on-one support and full ADA-compliant facilities. WAPA also expects the new lease to reduce its office cost by nearly half.

WAPA says customer services will remain available during the transition and that signs and public notices will help direct visitors. Customers with questions may contact customer.service@viwapa.vi or call 340-774-3552 or 340-773-2250 and select option 5.

The relocation is an advance notice rather than an immediate closure. Customers should continue using the current office until WAPA confirms the new Four Winds location has opened on September 28.

SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENT

WAPA should publish the current office's final service date, the new office's daily hours, an accessible map and a transition checklist at least two weeks before opening. Text and email reminders to customers who recently used in-person service would further reduce confusion.
