United Airlines has scheduled a weekly Saturday nonstop between Newark Liberty International Airport and Henry E. Rohlsen Airport beginning October 31, according to the Virgin Islands Port Authority.
VIPA says the carrier plans to use a Boeing 737-700 on the route. The service would complement United's existing Newark–St. Thomas flights while giving St. Croix a direct connection to the New York metropolitan area and United's Newark network.
October 31 is a scheduled launch, not confirmation that the first flight has operated. Travelers should check United's current timetable, fares and any later schedule changes before making plans.
The announcement identifies a once-weekly service and does not describe it as daily or year-round. Capacity and frequency may change after launch based on airline operations and demand.
VIPA and United should publish the full seasonal timetable, arrival and departure times, booking availability and any frequency changes in one durable route notice.
