The University of the Virgin Islands says full-time undergraduate tuition for traditional on-campus study will increase in Spring 2027 for students taking up to 17 credits.
The per-semester rate rises from $2,650 to $4,125 for in-territory students, from $4,638 to $7,218.75 for Caribbean students and from $7,950 to $12,421.95 for out-of-territory students. UVI says undergraduate and graduate per-credit rates will not receive another increase for Spring 2027.
Individual costs will vary with residency, course load, aid, scholarships and grants. UVI is encouraging students to complete its scholarship application and, when eligible, the 2026–2027 FAFSA by the November 1 priority deadline.
UVI says the board clarified the full-time rates in June 2026 and acknowledged that the effect should have been communicated sooner. Students in online, mixed-format or overload schedules should consult the published fee schedule for the rate that applies to them.
UVI should publish a student-specific cost calculator and a single deadline page for scholarships, FAFSA workshops, payment plans and appeal contacts.
