The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority announced that regular household-waste collection resumed on St. Thomas as of Friday, October 9.
The all-clear followed several days of cleanup at bin sites affected by collection delays, including Caret Bay, Black Point, Cancryn, Solberg, Raphune Hill, Havensight, Nazareth and Crown Mountain.
VIWMA thanked residents and collection crews for their cooperation during the disruption. The authority's notice supersedes the earlier cleanup advisory and does not identify any remaining island-wide collection restriction.
Residents who encounter a new missed pickup or overflowing site should report the current location to VIWMA rather than relying on the retired October 6 delay alert.
VIWMA should maintain a mobile-friendly service-status map that shows active disruptions, restoration notices and the timestamp of each update.
