DPNR's Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums says the Elaine Ione Sprauve Library is scheduled to reopen Saturday, October 31, with a family Halloween celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The announced programme includes storytime from 10:30 to 11 a.m., balloon animals until noon, face painting from noon to 1 p.m. and a scavenger hunt from 1 to 2 p.m. Children are invited to attend in costume.
The release says the reopening will restore access to library services, educational resources and community programming on St. John. It does not publish the library's regular hours after October 31 or identify any remaining service limitations.
October 31 is a scheduled reopening, not independent confirmation that normal operations have already resumed. Residents planning later visits should check DPNR for post-event hours.
DPNR should publish the library's regular post-reopening schedule, available services, accessibility information and a same-day status confirmation before the October 31 event.
