Norre Gade utility-work window has ended

The revised Thursday closure period is no longer active. No continuing Norre Gade restriction was posted Friday morning.

UPDATEUpdated Sept. 11: The rescheduled September 10 work window has passed. Public Works and WAPA had not posted a continuing closure Friday morning, so the active traffic alert has been retired.

The revised closure window for Norre Gade on St. Thomas ended at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 10. Public Works and WAPA had not posted a continuing restriction Friday morning, so drivers should no longer treat the earlier schedule as an active closure notice.

During the announced work, eastbound traffic from Back Street was to be diverted to Government Hill and westbound traffic to Kirke Straede while WAPA crews maintained a utility pole.

This briefing remains available as a transparent record of the schedule correction: the work was first set for Wednesday morning and later moved to Thursday afternoon.
