Clorox Puerto Rico is recalling about 6.3 million scented Mistolin dilutable cleaners and Lestoil heavy-duty multipurpose cleaners sold in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands because some products may contain bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
The recall covers scented products in 28-, 40-, 64- and 128-fluid-ounce bottles with a date code beginning “PR01” followed by a five-digit number from 25091 through 26168. Unscented products are not included. The CPSC notice lists nine affected Mistolin scents and four affected Lestoil scents, so consumers should use the official recall page to match the brand, scent and code before disposal.
People with weakened immune systems or external medical devices face the greatest risk of serious infection. The bacteria can enter through inhalation, the eyes or broken skin. No incidents or injuries had been reported when the federal notice was issued.
Consumers should stop using an affected cleaner immediately, keep it in its container, photograph the 12-digit UPC and side-of-bottle date code, register through the official recall process and then discard the closed bottle with household trash. Refunds are available with or without a receipt under the terms in the notice.

DLCA and local retailers should post shelf and checkout notices with a clear photo of the code locations, remove affected inventory, and offer in-store help for customers who cannot complete the online refund process.
