Downtown Charlotte Amalie–Cruz Bay ferry paused through October

The direct downtown route is scheduled to return November 1; passengers can still travel between Red Hook and Cruz Bay under the temporary off-season schedule.

Passenger-ferry service between downtown Charlotte Amalie and Cruz Bay is suspended during the current off-season period. The operator says the pause took effect August 30 and the direct route is scheduled to resume Sunday, November 1.

The Red Hook–Cruz Bay passenger-ferry route continues under a temporary schedule. The crossing takes about 20 minutes, but travelers should review the current operator schedule before leaving because off-season departure times can differ from regular service.

Passengers traveling from downtown Charlotte Amalie or the airport area should budget for ground transportation to Red Hook and additional travel time. The operator lists 340-779-4165 for schedule and ticket questions.
