The Department of Public Works says contractor Rumina Construction and project partners completed demolition of the Addelita Cancryn pedestrian bridge on Saturday, August 29, and fully reopened Veterans Drive to the public.
The work began Friday evening and required traffic to use Judy M. Gomez Highway, Gasvaerks Gade and designated access routes into western Frenchtown. Those detours are no longer required for this demolition closure.
Public Works described the demolition phase as complete. Drivers can again use Veterans Drive normally, while continuing to follow any posted controls connected to later project activity.
